This Month in the Vineyard
All around the area, the grapevines are a bit behind and Healdsburg is no different. We have lush growth and flowering has just begun. Soon miniature bunches of grapes will start to form where the pollinated
flowers have lost their petals. Before long, the foliage will start to mature.
Throughout the month, much of the spring's verdant new growth will darken
and thicken to better handle summer's heat and support the immature
grapes.
Historically, June has marked the first predictably dry month
with an average rainfall of .3 inches. The days are warm and the
nights are cool. June's average high temperature is 84 degrees
and the average low temperature is 50.
It’s a great month to visit some of Healdsburg’s many
wineries.
